Getting Started
Let us to give you some tips on how to prepare for the best picture possible. The focus is highlighting your spirituality and your expertise.
Since the Experts’ goal is to attract visitors into their room, spiritual elements are essential. You may also display your tools, like tarot decks, crystal balls, dreamcatchers, etc. to emphasize your uniqueness. Furthermore, setting up a decent, proper background with excellent lighting conditions is also important. For example, the environment can be a uniquely furnished room.
With excellent quality images that reflect a professional atmosphere, you will surely catch the attention of the Members. In order to reach the required quality and conditions we kindly suggest visiting a professional photographer if possible, or a friend with a great camera. Alternatively, you may use your smartphone’s camera as well.
Also, taking many shots at once is better, since the more you take and the more positions and settings you try, the easier is to select the best photo. Besides, you may upload the other ones to your My Content folders to have more content there!
Profile Picture acceptance
Please note that images are handled in arriving order within an hour after you upload the Profile Picture.

Technical requirements
- Acceptable image types are JPG, JPEG, PNG
- We recommend saving your pictures in JPG as all non-JPG files will be converted (JPG formats offer a smaller file size)
- The minimum picture size is 1600×1200 pixels
- The maximum file size can only be 15 MB per photo.
- Take your pictures with a DSLR camera or a newer phone which has a good camera.
Quality Requirements:
These quality and composition requirements apply:
- Sharp images are a must. Unfortunately, pictures from a web camera do not meet our quality standards. We recommend using a digital camera, borrowing one, or using your smartphone’s rear camera.
- Blurry or grainy photos do not present a professional appearance.
- The composition of the image must give off a professional vibe. It has to be tasteful, simple, yet spiritual. Try to create an organized, attractive environment looking just as enchanting as you do!
- Avoid uploading casual pictures, such as those taken on vacation, in restaurants, in the middle of your kitchen or living room etc.
- Professional, studio photo shoots are welcomed, but not required.
- The image should accurately represent the Expert’s current appearance.
- Only the registered person can appear in the pictures.
- Make sure that your face is fully visible in the picture. Parts of your head should not be missing, we cannot accept cropped, headless photos.
- Do not edit your photo after taking it, since extra images, texts, icons or heavy modifications might take away the focus from you.
- Keep in mind that additional frames, time stamps and various logos (including the Oranum logo) are not acceptable either. Nor do we accept rotated pictures.
Tips for better quality:
- Ask for help from someone who has some knowledge about photography: Whether you have your pictures taken in a professional studio or at home, make sure that the person who is taking your photo has some proficiency, as a minimal knowledge about how to set the lighting conditions and composition can make big differences.
- Pay attention to the background, a chaotic background is not appealing, but standing in the corner of the room or in front of a wall does not have the desired effect either.
- Do not display items such as wires, power plugs, doorknobs and frames, blinds, fans and other random objects in the background that ruin the overall atmosphere of your picture.
- By setting the image quality to the highest you can avoid ending up with over compressed, below-standard pictures which may keep the Members away from entering your room. No matter how great Expert you are, a pixelated, grainy photo does not make the best first impression.
- Selfies, images when you are holding the camera in your hand, also give an unprofessional impression. Please either visit a professional photographer or ask someone to take a picture. You may focus on looking the best on your photo instead of worrying about handling the camera.
- It is quite important to keep your photos up-to-date, so they always show your current look. Members may get disappointed if you look totally different than what they first saw on your pictures.
How to prepare for the perfect Profile Picture
The focus is highlighting your talent! How to create tasteful, attractive Profile Picture that give a professional impression and can increase your traffic?
- Try to present yourself in your best form.
- The picture should reflect spirituality. Use candles, books, esoteric tools or any other decoration to make it look more professional.
- Put on your unique accessories that emphasize your abilities and reflect your working methods. If you work with cards, show the cards for example.
- Setting up a proper background with excellent lighting conditions and spiritual theme is equally important. A photo where there is a tidy room or well-arranged set of tools and decoration, all clearly visible, will surely catch the eyes of the visitors.
- Look into the camera lens, try to be in the center and make sure that you are neither too far nor to close to the camera.
- Make sure that your whole face is on the photo since it can catch the attention of your visitors.
- Nothing beats a great smile. A genuine smiling face is a real power and speaks volumes about your character. It makes you appear more open and friendly.
- Ask a friend or a professional photographer if possible, to take the pictures, and to use a good camera.
- Take as many shots as possible in one sitting. The more you take and the more positions and settings you try, the easier it will be to select the best photo. You can always upload the other ones to your Story to have more content there!
Lighting conditions
Here are some useful tips for setting up the perfect lighting conditions:
- Avoid standing in front of a window or a lamp.
- Try taking the picture so that the light comes from behind the camera.
- Do not use shiny materials in the background which may reflect the flash.
- Your picture should not be yellow, too dark, or too bright.
Nature as background
It is not recommended but we can accept this kind of profile picture in case the overall quality is satisfying and tasteful.

Changing the size of the photo by adjusting the aspect ratio will result in distorted pictures. Please properly crop the picture to get the desired size, it is recommended to use the genuine version of the taken picture.
